Supported Employment
Securing meaningful employment can be particularly challenging for individuals with disabilities. Common issues include a lack of accessible job opportunities, insufficient workplace accommodations, and limited support during the job search and employment process.
About Our Employment Services
We provide supported employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities who are NDIS participants. Employment options at our social enterprises include roles at Elouera Laundry in Cootamundra, Material Recycling Facilities in Cootamundra and Young, and Elouera Hire in Cootamundra.
Supported employment provides an empowering environment where individuals can work alongside their peers, with reduced stress and pressure. This supportive setting helps individuals achieve their personal goals and contribute meaningfully to society.

ELOUERA RECYCLING
Elouera Recycling employs people with a disability who have employment as a goal in their NDIS Plan. Training is provided on the job with productivity-based wages currently being paid under the Supported Employment Services Award. This allowed all employees to work at a pace that was comfortable to the individual and employees were able to pick and learn new skills as part of their individual training plan.
As of July 2025, all employees are transitioning to the new Supported Employment Services Award 2020 where employees are classified and graded according to the individual jobs performed and what level the job is graded at.
Both Young and Cootamundra Recycling plants have had significant upgrades completed over the last 4 years with Work Health and Safety playing a major role in the upgrades to ensure the safety of all our employees working within these locations.
ELOUERA LAUNDRY
The Elouera Laundry operates a coin operated section for the public at the front of the premises with commercial and domestic washing, drying and folding located at the back of the premises.
Employees ensure a high standard of cleanliness by cleaning the machines, filters and floors daily so that customers have the best experience. Employees undertake pickups and deliveries to customers, many who have used our services for years.
The Elouera Laundry also operates a linen hire business servicing a couple of local motels and Bed and Breakfast customers

ELOUERA HIRE
Elouera Hire has a number of streams within the business itself. These include:
Home Cleaning & Garden Maintenance. Cleaning and Garden Maintenance includes weekly or fortnightly cleaning for NDIS participants as well as commercial cleaning, end of lease cleaning and yard maintenance.
Ice Manufacture & Sales. Our bagged ice is manufactured in cubes that can be used to chill your drinks or added to them safely. Elouera Ice Works is based at the Elouera Hire outlet In Yass Road Cootamundra. We manufacture, bag, store and deliver ice to Commercial businesses located in Cootamundra, Jugiong, Harden, Young, Grenfell and Illabo
Our Ice sales freezers are available at little to no cost (depending on volumes sold) to retail outlets, hotels and petrol stations.
Elouera Events Hire. We have a range of free-standing marquees or structures that can be built to the needs of the individual. Structures can include clear or white walls, linings and extras like entrance tents and catering tents. For any type of function that you want to hold, we have you covered with all bars, tables, cutlery, crockery, table cloths, dancefloors and toilets.
Plant and Equipment Hire. We have a range of Plant equipment for Hire ranging from Car and Trailer Hire to Lifting equipment such as a Snorkel Boom Lift to a Dingo and Gardening Tools hire.
Secure Document Destruction. Secure Shredding bins issued to corporate or personal customers on a one-off basis or monthly or quarterly basis. Deliveries and pickups currently being undertaken in Temora, Young, Harden, Boorowa and Cootamundra
Fire Briquette Manufacture & Sales. This is a new stream currently in the throes of being built which will add an additional arm to the services we can deliver to the communities we currently reside in.
