ELOUERA ASSOCIATION (INC)
TRANSPORT
Elouera operates a fleet of vehicles that enable us to meet the requirements of our customers. What is unique to our operations is the Bus and Truck fleet.
BUS TRANSPORT
|
|
Harden Run
We operate a bus or vehicle from the town of Harden to Young each morning and returning in the afternoon. This is available for employees of Elouera Recycling in Young and operates at a nominal charge to users. Unfortunately this bus can not take passengers not working for our service due to Department of Transport regulations.

|
Temora Run
We operate a bus from the town of Temora to Cootamundra each morning and returning in the afternoon. This is available for employees of Elouera Recycling and Elouera Industries in Cootamundra and operates at a nominal charge to users. Unfortunately this bus can not take passengers not working for our service due to Department of Transport regulations.
The Temora bus has wheel chair access and a real wheelchair lift, wheelchair passengers are able to remain in their chair for the journey if they prefer.
RECYCLING TRUCKS
Side Bins
|
|
This unique vehicle is a custom built truck that can collect and transport up to 20 cubic metres of recyclable materials from the kerb side. The truck has two sections inside, the front area is for the co-mingled materials such as cans, bottles plastics etc and the rear section is for paper and cardboard only.
The truck is built so there is no need for our collectors to go on the road. Recyclable materials are thrown into the large bins down the side, once these are full the operator engages the lifter that opens the roof and tips the materials into the truck in one simple movement.
|
|
Once full the rear section of the truck is emptied at the Elouera Recycling Young depot for sorting. The truck is a tipper and the centre dividing wall remains in place when we tip the cardboard and paper. Then the truck driver releases the middle door so he can tip the co-mingled materials in another area at the plant..
This vehicle is used in the Young Township but most likely will be phased out in the future when the shire introduces wheelie bins and a side lift truck will be required.

Side lift Truck
For our Boorowa contract we recently purchased our first side lift truck, this is a single operator vehicle that has dual steering and the driver controls the arm for the collection of recycling in wheelie bins. This method is far more efficient and volumes collected are much higher.
